'the presbytery rant meadow' is the string which some bloggee has inserted into MSN search engine and has come up with 'Musings'. I hope he is agreeably surprised. A 'presbytery rant could well be a church of Scotland blog and perhaps the ranter (?) has found some hot spot in a pleasant field somewhere and is blogging away on his lap top with a wireless connection and working on tomorrow's sermon at the same time. It is a nice thought. He(just as likely she-could it be our own Minister?) won't be working in Farmer O's field which dominates Hutton Kirk as the slurry has been spread in preparation for the Winter Wheat and the air is aloud with that cloying musak which well spread muck gives out for days to come; the music dies but the melody lingers on so tp speak. A former member of the Community Council may not be too happy about the stench but the prevailing wind is not in his direction and he may not be nostrilly challenged on this occasion. After a while you don't notice it too much especially if you spend the day in Edinburgh.
