WorldCup Fever
Royal Naval warship on the Whiteadder? A gun boat from Berwick?
No World cup fever. The incumbent had his small Cross of St George torn by the wind. Hence the replacement courtesy, one assumes, of the Royal Navy- a British rather than an English institution -so that is all right. It can fly north of the border without causing offence. Can't it?
Note for Jordanian flag freaks. This is not as large as your standard in Amman but it is believed to be the biggest White Ensign in all Berwickshire. Wow!

Is that not a submariners Flag? I do not believe that it is correct to fly it except on a commissioned RN Vessel?

I now gather from the owner of the flag that it was his father's (who was a submariner) and presented to him.Nothing to do with the world cup-he would have raised a Saltire if someone had asked him.
