Yes, this is from last year's Jim Clarke Rally-taken in front if the (very) old Pub in Hutton(last orders some fifty years ago.) Some villagers were disappointed that the Rally avoided Hutton this year. Thank goodness say I. No noise, no fumes and the village not cut off for five hours. There was a suggestion that we should ask the Rally organisers for a small contribution to village funds in compensation for disrupting the place as they did for two successive years. This must have been enough for them to look for an alternative stage thus missing out our spectacular ford. The official line is that the Rally benefits the local economy-but not Hutton's.
We haven't one.
Not since they closed the pub.
That is.
