So is this the end of the summer already. Bitterwind from the Northeast and weak sunshine and it is only mid July for goodness sake. To day is the day for a brisk walk and otherwise shiver inside. And where is the rain? The driest period I can remember and it is cold work watering freezing plants. But we have managed to pick all the black currants and gooseberries just leaving a few red currants and raspberries which are very late.
