This is Newcastle Norn Iron at 9pm. The sea is calm but not as mill pond like as it was in the middle of the Irish Sea twixt Stranraer and Belfast. Not a ripple on the chilled Chardonay and although the boat was heaving Club Class-no children please-was an oasis of tranquility. No such luck when we travel with the grandchildren in August but they have their advantages.
