Huttonian had to do it some time. GNERit on a Saturday when most of the rail is off the track. No trains between Newcastle and Ber Wick so a slow bus to China, via Ber Wick. And taxis are a scarce commodity between 9pm and midnight on Saturday as potential drunks wisely leave their cars at home. WE foolishly did that as we were to be away three nights and did not want to risk a hoody taking our vehicle apart despite all the spy cameras in the station car park. We might get a taxi after 12pm so it will be a late night after a long day.

Was bedlam in Berwick and district this afternoon as I made a cross-border trip to the tip at North Road - I know the A1 is dug up on the bridge but the traffic through the bustling metropolis of Berwick itself was nose to tail.... so negative marks for my idea of beating the nose to tail on the bypass.
Just doing my bit to reduce the £20k fine faced by SBC - all totally unrecyclable so better to fill a hole in England than in Scotland ;-)
If you set out to fill holes in Scotland where would you start: especially when so many holes are dumps already
