Huttonian-no relation-has had his attention drawn to this work by a bloggee who follows developments north of the Tweed with sporadic attention. 'Arse' is an unusual word to find in the title of a geological study and the blurb throws little light on the reason why this bit of the human anatomy -or indeed which Hutton it adorned is so presented. THe posterior in question is apparently focusing on the northern highlands, if that is what it can do, so little relevance to a local Hutton.
Warning* arsophiles may be disappointed.(Blogg-ed)Nor do we need bad jokes about our village being a bit of a hole.
