Gardening in the mistDespite the mist and murk which has prevailed throughout the last week the garden is looking good. The size of it and the hard work involved in just keeping on top of 25% 0f the weeds is an important factor in making us think of down sizing to Duns. However thanks to (expensive) assistance from a team of gardeners based in Duns we are (or at least the wife is) making some headway. Huttonian will be doing his bit when the fruit and tomatoes come on stream.Looks like being a bumper crop yet again. The images taken from the first floor show the panorama of the back garden-highlighting in one, the north east corner next to the old steadings which is the wife's pride and joy. Me, I prefer the West end with the apple trees and the fruit bushes (click on the images for best effect)
Pundits agree that this is probably the best strictly Organic garden in Hutton.
'Are there others?' I hear you cry.
Not sure. I'll have a look when the mist lifts
