A spokesperson For Farmer C Developments has commented as follows
Good Morning, Sir. I was recently reading your blog, and I thought...
Fishwick Bypass Toll
It is with great regret that we have to announce a toll on the forthcoming Fishwick Bypass. This is as a result of the severe congestion at Tweedhill Fisheries caused by rubbber-neckers - aka sight-seers - attempting to turn their vehicles around on a narrow country road with no legal access to the numerous turning circles associated with the incumbent residential properties. It is unfortunate that large numbers of the local population have been, as one, inspired to venture down the narrow road, with its dangerous corner [shortly to be by-passed] to view either the corner itself or possibly the house currently under construction, by widespread coverage on the internet. It is to be hoped that this enthusiastic curiosity will abate; otherwise dual-ing will have to be seriously considered. The raising of the speed limit to 70 mph would thereby make the by-pass even more essential, though it is questionable whether the manning of a double set of toll-booths could really be economically justified. Its very good to be able, quite literally, to laugh all the way to the bank.
