'Anything for the Weekend?'
I am usually supportive of the Rally but this year they have gone too far' said the guy with the clippers and the cut throat razor to hand.

'Trapped in Edrom all day Saturday. as the Rally comes past my door. Road closed from 7am until 5 pm'

'Friday is a washout as many of my customers are refusing to come into Duns with road closures and parking restrictions. Main road out closed. No visitors to the Knoll hospital all week end'

To be fair Peter is often trapped in Edrom as our dogs roam the streets devouring small dogs.
There is a two hour gap in the rally to escape, but what he really means is that there is nowhere worth going in that time ... now that Duns will be shut.

I fail to understand why SBC talks green, allows international companies to festoon us with turbines then persists in this annual environmentally damaging schlockfest of tastelessly clad petrol heads in their tacky little tin boxes. (and they'd be just as useless even if they had nice clothes and normal-looking cars)What one lot makes in axtra trade the majirity lose in lost business. Doesn't SBC realise this is the 21st century?
